Wyden has already fulfilled that annual town hall promise in 2018 for all of Oregon’s counties, holding 44 town halls so far this year. The upcoming town hall will be his second this year in Wasco, Gilliam, Umatilla, Union, and Baker counties. “Throwing open the doors of government throughout Oregon and answering any question from anybody is how the Founding Fathers intended American democracy to work,” Wyden said. “At a time when there’s so much public interest in all that is happening in Washington, DC, these open-to-all town halls take on special importance, and I look forward very much to hearing from Oregonians next week.”
